Teaching Assistant Vacancies (May/June 2023)

Post: Teaching Assistant Level 1

Pay Range: A1/B1 - £21,029 to £21,968 pro rata term time only

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours. Part-time hours are available. Roles will include lunchtime duties

 

We are recruiting to fill additional teaching assistant hours and would like to welcome the successful candidate(s) to join our committed, enthusiastic and supportive staff team. We are seeking a motivated and inspiring teaching assistant(s) to work with children, including, but not limited to, those with additional or special educational needs (SEND). The role will also include lunch duties.

Experience of working with children in the primary phase, and those with SEND, would be desirable; as would any specialist training such as STARs. However, if you are interested in the role, but do not have any experience of working with children with SEND, training would be available for the successful candidate.

 

The successful candidate will:

· be able to motivate and engage children

· be able to form professional and nurturing relationships with children

· demonstrate a calm, proactive approach to behaviour management

· work effectively in a team and build positive relationships

· be able to apply good organisational and communication skills

· be able to use their initiative, learn and adapt

· have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
